Depending on what you wish to achieve,
You may encounter situations in which that which comes natural to you
Does not assist you in completing the task at hand.
When that situation arises, two paths will form, neither “correct”.
On one path, you go ahead unchanged, and live with the consequences of your nature.
On the other path, you change what is natural to you, to not run into the consequences of your nature.
I will say it again.
On one path, you go ahead unchanged, and live with the consequences of your nature.
On the other path, you change what is natural to you, to not run into the consequences of your nature.
Beware.
There is no “how do I” in this.
No “how can I become more X”
Nor “how can I become less Y”
You are as you are, in your naturally unique state.
Beware.
The question is not about a “how” instruction.
For instructions do not work on humans, and only lead to mediocre lives.
The question is about an “understanding” of why we get hurt,
When we move ahead as we are,
Or when we force change upon ourselves, as we are.
Understand this:
If you change yourself,
Or go ahead as yourself,
In both cases,
There is consequence.
There is a cost.
Sometimes the cost you are willing to pay, sometimes you are not.
It depends on what you want.
But there is always a cost
Doing something that is unnatural to you.
Some are aware of this cost,
Many are not.
Understand this:
Not forcing change on yourself is not hurting “you”, it is hurting the goal you are chasing sometimes.
Forcing change on yourself is hurting “you”, as it is forcing you to do something unnatural for you.
Neither is good, nor bad, nor correct.
It all depends on what you wish to do in your life.
It all depends on what you deemed to be a MUST in your life.
And on the price you settled on paying.
Consciously, or not.
Your nature is fit for some things,
While unfit for others.
That is what can be understood.
Or not.
